Olmo Ling Bon Center and Institute, 1101 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Join us to experience the power and blessings of the ancient Tibetan Bon healing practice of Sidpa Gyalmo in a Weekend Retreat with Tempa Lama. This special Healing Practice is a central part of the regular practice schedule at Olmo Ling. Weekly practice of the Sidpa Gyalmo invocation and Healing Mantra is offered at the Saturday morning meditation with Tempa Lama. The extended version of the Sidpa Gyalmo Healing Practice is practiced at the monthly Evening of Healing with Tempa Lama. The retreat is a great opportunity to learn this meditation practice or to connect more deeply with it.

Tempa Lama will offer the transmission of the Sidpa Gyalmo healing meditation practice and offer instructions on how we can use it to heal our body and mind and help others heal. Contemplative healing practices help us recognize that we are all gifted with the primordial wisdom of healing. In the Tibetan Bon tradition, practices to help us connect with the innate potential of healing have been done for thousands of years.

Sidpa Gyalmo is the chief protector of the Bon tradition. In her healing manifestation, she is the perfect unification of wisdom and compassion, the skillful means of transformation. Healing, according to the Bon teachings, encompasses the physical, emotional and mental dimensions of our being. Through the healing meditation practice of Sidpa Gyalmo we can clear both physical illnesses and heal our mind and feelings. The practice opens us to our innate potential to heal our mind and body and help others heal.

During this Retreat we will learn about
1. The healing power of mantra and how it works.
2. How to evoke the healing power of the deity (Sidpa Gyalmo).
3. How to embody the healing power of the deity.

The Retreat is for all who are interested in healing, including those who personally need healing, those who are working with others who are ill, and everyone with an interest in Bon practice and the Bon healing tradition. It is suited both for those who are new to this practice and those who have practiced this healing practice previously.

Tempa Dukte Lama is the founder and spiritual director of Olmo Ling Bon Center in Pittsburgh, PA where he is working to make the ancient Bon teachings available and accessible through workshops and retreats, a weekly meditation program and compassionate outreach. Tempa Lama trained at Menri Monastery, India, with H.H. Menri Trizin, the spiritual head of Bon, from a young age. He is author of four books. Tempa Lama has lived in the US since 2000 and teaches internationally.
