Teaching Schedule and Information

December 3rd, 2022: Chi Tawa Chi Cho – Outer Instruction: The View of Dzogchen
Menri Shedrup Khenpo Rinpoche and Tempa Lama will explain the heart essence of the Dzogchen view according to Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud. The reason why we have to understand the Dzogchen view first before engaging in practice is that the view is like a palace. The benefit of understanding the Dzogchen view is that we are able to stabilize the practice of Trek Cho. Trek Cho means cutting through the rigidity of delusion. Stabilizing Trek Cho will give us the power of control over our mind.

December 10th, 2022: Nang Men Ngag Mar Tri – Inner Instruction: The Essential Instruction
Menri Shedrup Khenpo Rinpoche and Tempa Lama will explain the heart essence of Todgal with the practice of the Six Lamps. Todgal is the development of vision practice in Dzogchen. Through the practice of the Six Lamps we point out where the intrinsic awareness abides, which path it follows, through which door it exits, and in what form it appears. The reason why the inner essential instruction is given second is because it is the key that opens the treasure house inside the palace of the Dzogchen view.

January 7th, 2023: Sang Wa Rigpa Cher Tong – Secret Instruction: The Recognition of Pure Awareness
Menri Shedrup Khenpo Rinpoche and Tempa Lama will explain the heart essence of pure awareness. Through this instruction the pure awareness is pointed out with the practice of the eightfold quintessential instructions. The reason why the secret recognition of pure awareness is taught third is because through the practice of the Six Lamps one directly perceives the luminous manifestation of clear light, similarly to how one sees the treasure directly after opening the door of the treasure house. The benefit of the direct recognition of intrinsic awareness is that one will attain the rainbow body.

January 14th, 2023: Yang Sang Ne Luk Puk Cho – Most Secret Instruction: The Realization of the Natural State
Menri Shedrup Khenpo Rinpoche and Tempa Lama will point out the ultimate essence of the natural state through the practice of the Twenty-one Nails. The reason why the most secret realization of the ultimate natural state is taught fourth is because it is like not only seeing the treasure directly but taking it into one’s hands. Through the practice of the Twenty-One Nails the fourfold vision of Todgal is brought to the state of exhaustion and one arrives at the ultimate state of Kuntu Zangpo.
