Olmo Ling Tibetan Bon Center and Institute, 1101 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Saturday May 31, 9:30am-5pm with lunch break and Sunday June 1, 10am-1pm

Prerequisite: Attendance of the A Khrid Year 1 Teachings and Transmission (offered in fall 2013)

Followed by A Khrid Part III (fall 2014)

Tempa Lama will continue offering the transmission and instruction of the Heart Essence of the A Khrid Dzogchen teachings. For this second Retreat in the A Khrid Cycle, Tempa Lama will focus on giving instructions on spontaneous presence and continuity of meditative absorption without an object. This is also known as “meditation on essential nature” or ngang sgom.

The Bon Dzogchen teachings are the highest teachings of Bon as they offer a means to directly recognize the true nature of the mind and further attain stabilization of this recognition. Bon has three distinct Dzogchen lineages: the lineage of A Khrid, the lineage of Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud, and the lineage of Dzogchen. The present A Khrid lineage is also called the experiential Dzogchen transmission. It has been transmitted without interruption from master to student over many centuries, dating back from His Holiness 33rd Menri Trizin (who gave this teaching to Tempa Lama) to the Great Master rMe’u dGongs-mdzod (1038-1096), and before him to Tonpa Shenrab, the founding teacher of Bon.

He is an artist and poet and author of three books with Olmo Ling Publications, the first Bon publishing house which he founded in 2011.
