Please Join us in Supporting Victims of the Floods in Nepal!

Please join us in offering urgently needed support for victims of the devastating floods that struck Tempa Dukte Lama’s home country Nepal on August 26, 2026.

A series of powerful flash floods hit the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan north of Kathmandu. The floods have swept away entire villages, roads and bridges, and affected hydropower facilities, water systems, and telecommunications.

It is believed that tens of thousands have been displaced and at least 2,500 are reported missing.

Tempa Lama would like to sincerely ask the Olmo Ling community and his friends to contribute so that we can help the people of Nepal during this crisis and provide urgently needed shelter, clean water, and food to the flood victims.

We will be able to work quickly and effectively thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers overseen by Mr. Chhewang Lama, CEO of Responsible Treks, who previously oversaw the Olmo Ling Earthquake Relief Project in 2015.

As soon as we have collected enough donations, our volunteers will bring tents, blankets, dry foods, and water to families who have lost their homes.

We have also begun to assist children whose parents perished in the floods. Our goal is to raise a sufficient fund to continue helping these children over a longer time period.

Your Generosity is Making Olmo Ling’s Work in Nepal Possible

We are profoundly grateful to have been able to help the people of Nepal during several crises that have affected Tempa Lama’s home country of Nepal in recent years. With the generous support of our community and dedicated volunteers we were among the first teams on the ground to bring tents, blankets, water, food, medicine, and soap to the villages hit hardest by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015. Supported by our community, the Olmo Ling Humla Covid Relief Project brought urgently needed medical supplies and protective equipment to Tempa Lama’s home region of Humla, Nepal, in June 2021.
