Chod: Laughter of the Dakinis

with Andrew Kaiser
Saturday September 24, 9:30am-4:30pm with lunch break

Canceled

Please join us for this special daylong workshop to learn the ancient Tibetan Bon practice called “Chod: Laughter of the Dakinis”. At Olmo Ling we practice Chod every week at the Saturday morning meditation.

Chod is a complete practice for cutting through the ego attachment and understanding the way of compassion.

In this one day class, we will study the different drumming techniques used in the Chod. We will combine the drumming with chant practice and by the end of the day will be able to run through the full Chod practice.

If you are new to Chod then this class will establish a good foundation to continue. If you are already familiar with Chod, this class is an opportunity to focus on specific questions about the music and instruments.

There are some Chod drums available for sale in the Olmo Ling bookstore.

Andrew Kaiser is a senior student with Tempa Lama and has practiced Chod for several years.
