Essence of the Three Heart Mantras of Bon

With H.E. Menri Lopon Trinley Nyima Rinpoche
Olmo Ling Center, Pittsburgh, PA

Sat. Sept 7, 2013, 9:30am-5:00pm

Menri Lopon Rinpoche will offer the teaching and transmission of the Three Heart Mantras of Bon. The Three Heart Mantras are powerful practices to awaken our mind to its innate potential of purity, non-dual awareness, and healing. Each of the three mantras is practiced traditionally as a complete practice toward liberation. These three practices are also part of the Bon Ngondro or preliminary practices that open our mind and heart toward the higher practices of Tantra and Dzogchen.

These teachings will be followed by an Empowerment for Longevity and Prosperity on Sunday September 8, 10am-1pm. This special empowerment, given by the second most revered teacher at Menri, is a precious opportunity. To register for the Longevity Empowerment, please click here. Du Tri Su is a powerful mantra for healing and the transformation of suffering. It strengthens our vital energy and clears obstacles in our own life and in the lives of others.

Through the practice of Ma Tri we clear the suffering of the six realms and transform the afflictions of ignorance, anger-hatred, desire-attachment, jealousy, envy, and pride into wisdom.

The practice of Sa Le Od is the meditation on the nature of the mind. It helps us to reconnect with this pure nature and abide in non-dual awareness.

Lopon Rinpoche will offer teachings, instructions on the practice of the Three Heart Mantras, and guide us through the practice of each mantra.

Menri Lopon Thrinley Nyima Rinpoche is the head teacher of Menri monastery, the main monastery of Bon in Dolanji, India. The head teacher at Menri is the second most revered teacher after the abbot, His Holiness Menri Trizin. As the head teacher, Rinpoche is responsible for the training of all students at the Menri Dialectic School. Rinpoche earned his Geshe doctoral degree from Menri in 1989. He is the founder and spiritual director of Dzogchen Wodsel Ling in Los Angeles, California.
