Sunday May 31st: 9:30am-4pm with lunch break

Venue: Western Pennsylvania Family Center Carriage House, 733 N Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.

We are very honored that Ponlop Thrinley Nyima Rinpoche the head teacher at Menri Monastery, India will visit us this year.

Ponlop Rinpoche will give teachings and oral transmission on the preliminary practices or “Ngondro”. These practices open the door to the Bon Dzogchen (Great Perfection) teachings. These ancient practices are very beneficial for our life. They purify our karmic tendencies and negativities, cleansing our body, speech and mind. The preliminary practices help us to prepare our heart and mind to recognize our true nature. At the same time, these practices are a complete path of liberation in themselves.

Retreat costs: $125. This fee covers retreat expenses and support for Ponlop Rinpoche’s work. There is a cancellation fee of $25.

For those coming from outside Pittsburgh: We recommend staying at the Shadyside Inn . The Shadyside Inn offers studio suites form $109/night. To get to the Family Center, use bus 500 which stops half a block from the hotel and just opposite the Family Center (travel time: 17 minutes).
