The Three Essential Mantras of Bon

Pittsburgh, PA with Tempa Dukte Lama
Sat Feb 13, 9:30am-5pm with a lunch break 12:30-2pm
Sun Feb 14, 10am-1pm

Tempa Lama will teach the three heart mantras of Bon. These mantras are powerful practices to awaken our mind to its innate potential of purity, non-dual awareness, and healing. Each of these three mantras is practiced traditionally as a complete practice toward liberation. These three practices are also part of the Bon Ngondro or preliminary practices that open our mind and heart toward the higher practices of Tantra or Dzogchen. If you are not currently practicing Ngondro but would like to, we encourage you to attend this Retreat.

Du Tri Su is a powerful mantra for healing and the transformation of suffering. It strengthens our vital energy and clears obstacles in our own life and in the lives of others.

Through the practice of Ma Tri we clear the suffering of the six realms and transform the six afflictions of ignorance, anger-hatred, desire-attachment, jealousy, envy, and pride into the six wisdoms.

Through the meditation of Sa Le Od we practice clear, non-dual awareness and reconnect with the pure nature of our mind.

During these two days of teaching and practice, Lama Tempa will provide some background from the vast body of teachings on which these three mantras rest. He will provide instructions on the practice and guide us through the practice of each of the three essential mantras.
