Tsa Lung is an ancient Tibetan Bon Yoga (Thrul Khor) practice. It is a contemplative practice that employs breathing, gentle physical movement, vocal sound, visualization, and deep meditative awareness as a path of harmonizing the body, mind, and energy, and ultimately attaining awakening. Among the cycle of Bon Trul Khor, the Tsa Lung practices are particularly accessible as they are simple and gentle and do not require a lot of flexibility. At the same time, Tsa Lung is a powerful and deeply beneficial practice for strengthening our awareness and healing our body and mind. No familiarity with Trul Khor or yoga is required for attending this weekend.

Tempa Lama will demonstrate and give detailed instructions on a set of simple and effective Tsa Lung practices of body, speech, and mind. This teaching will be combined with an introduction to healing according to the ancient Tibetan Bon tradition. According to Bon, we are all gifted with the innate potential of healing. This inner capacity can be obstructed by imbalances in our energy, mind, and body. Tempa Lama will explain the Tibetan system of the three humors of bile, phlegm, and wind and their relationship with the five elements. He will explain how imbalances in the humors and the five elements cause agitation in the five winds, the five internal organs, the five senses and the corresponding external limbs. Due to these imbalances and agitation, our health becomes vulnerable. Tempa Lama will explain how we can use the practice of Tsa Lung to balance and clear these imbalances to help open us to profound healing.

Participants will Receive:
  • 2-Day In-Person Retreat about the Tsa Lung Practice from the Tibetan Bon Tradition
  • A handout of the Tsa Lung practices that will be used over the weekend
  • If purchased, participants will receive Tempa Lama’s book “Thrul Khor: Ancient Tibetan Bon Yoga” on first day of the retreat. Purchase of the book is not required to participate and learn at the teaching.
